However, the results of 26,434 has been withheld pending investigation into allerged malpractices during and after the exam.
She said the withheld results will be released as soon as investigation is completed, candidates who are found guilty will have their results totally cancelled.

It was further stated that the results will soon be dispatched to the school and candidates are to contact their school heads for their results.

STATISTICS
A total of 316,999 candidates from 946 public and private senior high schools entered for the exam out of which 1,378 were absent from the exam.

46.79% had A1-C6, 31.60% had D7-E8 and 21.61% had F9 in English Language

50.52% had A1-C6, 34.72% had D7-E8 and 14.76% had F9 in Integrated Science

The council further stated that social studies has shown a marked improvement compared to last year's 52.25%, while integrated science recorded a slight improvement over last year's 43.66%.
However, Mathematics(core) showed a drop from last Year's 42.73% to 38.33%
the same applies to English Language which dropped from last year's 54.06% to 46.79%.

The council thanks all of its stakeholders especially the Ghana Education service and the Ghana police service for their corporation, in conducting a successful examination.
