The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has opened a short notice registration from Wednesday July 17th- July 31st  for the 2018 WASSCE for private candidates. This is to allow candidates who are not satisfied with their recently released WASSCE results to resit the exam. Student who are currently in school can also register and try their hands on the exam.                              HOW TO REGISTER The registration for the exam is strictly online, it is however done manually for some WAEC accredited institutions. interested candidates can register for the exam at any accredited internet café, Candidates are to first capture their finger prints to commence registration. After your finger prints have been captured, you can now create an account by providing your email address and a password. Waec withholds over 26,434 results as it releases 2018 wassce results.

   In a press release signed by Mrs Agnes Teye -Cudjoe, head of national office  of the West African Examination Council, on July 13th, The council has announced the release of the 2018 West African Senior School Certificate Examination  WASSCE results. However, the results of 26,434 has been withheld pending investigation into allerged malpractices during and after the exam. She said the withheld results will be released as soon as investigation is completed, candidates who are found guilty will have their results totally cancelled. It was further stated that the results will soon be dispatched to the school and candidates are to contact their school heads for their results.                                                         The most frequently asked questions among SHS graduates as well as students is on what basis does WAEC transform their exam scores into grades. WAEC grades candidates subject by subject ranging from A1 to F9 with grade A1 interpreted as Excellent  and the best grade a candidate can ever get in the WASSCE examination.     Followed by B2 and B3 which are interpreted as Very good and Good respectively.     The Adentan Based West Africa Senior High School was the only school in Greater Accra to reach the finals of the 2018 national science and Maths quiz; a competition organized by primetime productions with the aim of encouraging the study of science and maths in Ghana and also to provide a healthy academic competition among senior high schools in ghana. The West African Senior School Certificate Examination ( WASSCE) for 2018 school candidates is expected to be released in the first or second week of July. For candidates who cannot wait until the results are being deployed to their respective schools, you can access your results online in a few easy steps. Firstly, a candidate who want to access his/her results online must obtain a WAEC scratch card also known as results checker in order to access the results portal. The scratch card can be purchased from WAEC's website electronically using your Master card, visa card or  Airtel money.  The Basic Education Certificate Examination is an exam conducted by WAEC to student who has successfully completed the nine years Basic education course in Ghana, it serves as a basics for the placement of student into second cycle institutions and also for certification. As a result of the free Secondary education introduced by the Government of Ghana, the number if candidates who sat for this year's Examination recorded a significant increase over the years before.
