How to check your 2018 WASSCE results.

The West African Senior School Certificate Examination ( WASSCE) for 2018 school candidates is expected to be released in the first or second week of July.
For candidates who cannot wait until the results are being deployed to their respective schools, you can access your results online in a few easy steps.
Firstly, a candidate who want to access his/her results online must obtain a WAEC scratch card also known as results checker in order to access the results portal.
The scratch card can be purchased from WAEC's website electronically using your Master card, visa card or  Airtel money.
You would have to fill the E payment form and provide an active email address to which the card details (pin and serial number) will be sent to
You can also purchase the scratch card at any WAEC office as well as all internet cafe.
After the scratch card has been obtained, log on to WAEC's website at https://ghana.waecdirect.org using your phone or PC, fill in your index number, examination year, examination type;
NOTE, there are two types of WASSCE these are WASSCE  for school candidates and WASSCE for private candidates.
Chose 'WASSCE SCHOOL' from the list,
Provide the serial number and the personal identification number; PIN on the scratch card.
re-enter your index number and exam year to confirm and then hit the submit bottom.
In less can one minute you will see your results being displayed on your screen

University of Ghana residential fees increased.

University of Ghana in a recent release on its website has published a new residential fees for the 2019/2020 academic year with a 5% increase in that of 2017/2018 academic year for the traditional  halls  after weeks of deliberation and consultation by authorities and pressures from students of the university of Ghana on how much to pay as residential fees. Residents in the fully university owned (traditional halls) which includes; Mensah sarbah hall, Commonwealth hall, Volta hall, Legon hall, and Akuafo halls are to pay 853 cedis instead of 812 cedis that was paid the previouse years, this shows a slight increment of about 41 cedis representing 5%  on what was being charged before. Residents in the diaspora halls i.e Dr Hilla Liman hall, Elizabeth sey hall, Jean Nelson ackah hall and Alexanda Kwapong halls are to pay 1,790 cedis. source: universnewsroom.com
